My Story
Dr. Ann Hutcheson is a licensed psychologist in Alaska, Washington, and Alabama. She earned a master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Lewis & Clark College and a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Pacific University. Dr. Hutcheson has extensive training and experience in individual and group psychotherapy, psychological assessment, violence risk assessment, consultation, and clinical supervision.
With more than 25 years of direct clinical experience, Dr. Hutcheson provides psychological assessments, individual therapy, group therapy, and consultation services. She has specialized expertise in Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), substance use disorders (SUD), Evidence-Based Practices (EBP), and Violence Risk Assessment. Her professional experience spans outpatient and residential substance use treatment programs, emergency departments, state hospitals, correctional settings, and the Department of Veterans Affairs. This breadth of experience allows her to provide practical, evidence-based services to adolescents and adults while supporting clinicians, organizations, and multidisciplinary teams in enhancing assessment, treatment, and risk management practices.
Dr. Hutcheson has specialized training in Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Prolonged Exposure Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. In addition to specialized training in evidenced based psychology, she has had extensive training in violence risk assessments including Violence Risk Assessment Inventory, Historical, Clinical, and Risk Management-20, Level of Service Inventory-Revised, and Psychopathy Checklist-Revised. Dr. Hutcheson has had comprehensive trainings and education and out PTSD, mTBI, ADHD, EBPs, and violence.
Our Services
Individual Therapy:
Provide individual psychotherapy to address PTSD, anxiety and/or mood disorders using evidenced based practices. Services are provided via telehealth evening and weekends.
Consultation:
Consultation services are available in the areas of PTSD, Substance Use Disorders, Evidence-Based Practices, and Violence Risk Assessment, drawing on specialized psychological expertise to support clinical decision-making, program development, and risk management.
